This 2-day safari takes you to Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park for an unforgettable gorilla trekking experience. Home to over 400 mountain gorillas, the park offers a rare chance to observe these incredible primates in their natural habitat. The journey starts and ends in Kigali, with opportunities to explore Rwanda’s rich landscapes and wildlife, including golden monkeys, forest elephants, and buffaloes.
Key attractions include Mount Karisimbi, Mount Bisoke, the Muhabura, Sabinyo & Gahinga volcanoes, Gorilla Guardians Village, Dian Fossey’s Grave, and the twin lakes of Burera and Buhondo. Activities on this safari include gorilla tracking, scenic hiking, and a Kigali city tour, offering an exciting mix of wildlife, culture, and adventure.
Have yourself an early tasty breakfast, after which transfer to the park headquarters. Later embark on the amazing gorilla tracking adventure. After trekking, you will be escorted back to your lodge; have lunch and opt for a visit to the twin lakes; Burera and Ruhondo or take a walk in the community before dinner and overnight at your accommodation facility.
Today we will wake up to breakfast and enjoy a relaxed morning before you check out from the lodge. Transfer to Kigali; Drop-off at your Kigali accommodation facility and transfer to the airport as you're heading home.
